Synchronization
Official RSS or Atom endpoints are checked every thirty minutes with ETag and Last-Modified validators. A failed request keeps the last successful cache, so a publisher outage does not replace the site with an empty page.
Copyright and provenance
Local article records contain titles, dates, canonical links and bounded feed excerpts. Complete third-party articles remain on their publishers' websites. Local category illustrations and short ambient clips are generic editorial assets dedicated to the public domain under CC0; they are not documentary images of the linked events.
Files and APIs
Every update produces RSS, Atom, JSON, a sitemap, individual article pages and a SHA-256 file manifest. These are ordinary public site resources and can be consumed without an account.
Availability
Content is generated atomically. Existing files remain readable throughout an update, and the previous source cache is used whenever a remote feed is temporarily unavailable.
